A “VJA” grant award last Fall to hire short term 1.5 years at a time job with Tacoma LESA (911 for that area) has had them trying to find attract candidates to qualify for a position to work on tactical analysis of crime frequency in Pierce County. You would be a Tac officer, not carry a gun nor make arrests. Work on data driven analysis and intervention is offered to retired detectives with computer skills. Positions are for 7 people. You would need to go through a Background, Polygraph, psychological, oral interview,medical, etc.. They are looking for 6 years experience with an accredited federal, state or local law enforcement agency agency, and at least three years in investigative, non uniformed position. College education is desirable.
